To improve the usability of tablets and meet the different needs of industries, 3Rtablet supports two optional ways of interface extension: all-in-one cable and docking station. Do you know what they are and what are the differences between them? If not, let’s read on and learn to choose the one that best suits your needs.
The most significant difference between the all-in-one cable and docking station version is whether the tablet itself can be separated from theextended interfaces or not. In the all-in-one cable version, added interfaces are designed to connect with the tablet directly and cannot be removed. While in the docking station version, the tablet can separate from the interfaces merely by being removed from the docking station by hand. Therefore, if you often need to hold a tablet to work in places such as construction sites or mines, the tablet with a docking station will be recommended for its lighter weight and better portability. If your tablet is going to be fixed in one place for a long time, you can freely choose them.
As for safety, both ways perform well in preventing the tablet from falling while driving. The all-in-one cable tablet is connected to the dashboard by locking a RAM bracket on the back panel, it can only be removed by tools once fixed. Once the tablet is mounted on the docking station, you can easily remove it by hand. Considering the tablet may be stolen, 3Rtablet offers the option of docking station with a lock. When the docking station is locked, the tablet will be firmly fixed on it and cannot be removed until the lock is unlocked with a key. So if you want to order a tablet with docking station, it’s suggested that you choose the customized docking station with a lock to better protect your tablets from loss.
In short, the two ways of interface extension for tablets have their characteristics. You can choose the most suitable one according to the application scenarios and industry requirements. Make the tablet an asset to simplify workflow and increase productivity.
